All roads lead to Rome

The first full day in Rome and we were truly amazed by the beauty of this incredible city.
I`ve told you in my previous post that we stayed nead Piazza de Popolo so this was our first stop. But we found out that we can go up and have a perfect view from above over the entire square and also enjoy a gorgeous & peaceful place which was more like a park. you can see more in the following pictures ♥

Then, when we went down we succeeded in arriving at Piazza di Spagna but since the stairs ( Spanish Steps) were closed for restoration we couldn`t take too many pictures there. But I think that they were closed until the end of this month, so if you have planned a trip to Rome starting from next one, you`ll have more luck for sure.

I will invite you to read the entire story because you`ll see more tourist attraction and in the meantime if you`re curious about my outfit don`t forget to check the next section because you`ll find there all the details you need ♥

 I was wearing:

Romwe Studded Shorts: Here

Coloseum:  Our next stop! From Piazza di Spagna we took the Metro to Colloseo. It`s not that difficult but be careful because you have to change it at the Termini station. This place is amazing. Imagine only how many years have passed and if you are a big fan of the Gladiator movie and also passionate about the Antic Rome, this is one of the places you should visit. Do not imagine that it looks like in the movies but you know, many years have passed over it and it still kept its magic.
Again, you`ll have to face a long line, but it actually moves fast and you`ll end up inside in no more than 10 minutes. The tickets will cost you around 12 euro and if you`re under 25, like I was for a few more days, you`ll have to pay 7.50 euro.
A very important aspect, that we have discovered there after a long walk to the tickets office where we could have pay for the tickets with cash, was the fact that you can use the same tickets from Colloseum also to enter and see the Foro Romano.  So you should keep them and use them again there because it`s a nice place too.
And if you just visit it and go straight to the opposite exit you`ll find yourself in Piazza Venezia.

From Foro Romano to Piazza di Venezia and our first stop was at Musei Capitolini.
As I`ve previously told you this was in the other part of the Foro Romano. A place that you should visit and enter for sure, because there you`ll find amazing statuettes and also you`ll have a gorgeous view over the square.

Piazza Venezia:
The most impressive building tha you`ll see here is the "Altare della Patria" which is a national monument built in honor of Vittorio Emanuele II. You can go up by taking the stairs have again another great view and visit it inside. This time we decided only to see it from the outside because we were quite tired already and still had some other attractions to see.
From there you can also take a short walk to see the Trajan`s Column. You can also see it in one of the following pictures.

Fontana di Trevi:
Last but not least, or maybe our last attraction for today, was Fontana di Trevi.
We went there again by feet from Piazza di Venezia but is not that much to walk from one place to another. As we have expected, many tourists came to see it and it was almost impossible to get in front of it and take a picture... or a few :D
But I have the necessary skills and succeeded in getting in front took a few pictures... fast... burst and anything that can give you from 10 to 20 pictures in 1 minute because otherwise, we could have ended up with many more in our trip memories!!

These were out attractions for this day and it was just gorgeous but extremely exhausting. It was worth it in the end but we ended the day in a fancy manner because it was that night when my love celebrated his b-day and I managed to surprise him with something small but cute and full of love. ♥

I hope you enjoyed my story and wish you all a wonderful weekend!
Kisses, M ♥
